Handmade Wooden Beds Built to Last
Unlike flat-pack alternatives, every piece is made to order in our North East workshop by skilled craftspeople. We use traditional joinery techniques and the finest quality timbers to ensure your bed provides lasting support for both your mattress and your sleep.
Crafted with Solid Wood, Never Veneer
Over time, veneer beds begin to peel, chip and bubble, whilst our wooden frames retain their natural timeless charm. While veneer beds become weaker, our solid wood bed frames remain supportive for decades, with our base slats also extending the life of your mattress.
Sustainably Sourced Materials
Our wooden beds are all crafted from sustainably sourced materials. The raw materials are sourced from suppliers who practise sustainable forest management, creating a healthy cycle of supply and regrowth. We’re constantly in the process of improving our sustainable practices across our manufacturing and packaging.
What Types of Wood Do We Use?
Solid pine beds
All our handmade wooden beds are made from premium kiln-dried pine and finished in a choice of our wax finishes to perfectly match your style. Pine bed frames offer long-term strength, support and timeless style making it one of our favourite materials for creating bed frames.
What Sizes Do Our Wooden Beds Come in?
Our solid wood beds are available in a range of sizes, from single to super king, though not every size is offered in every style. Each of our handmade bed frames has its own unique measurements, some may be slightly longer due to chunky headboards and footboards, or wider due to solid platform bases, so be sure to check the dimensions for each bed.
Regardless of style, the mattress recess is always designed to fit standard UK mattress sizes.
