It's named after an area of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, the nearest city to our workshop, where former riverside warehousing has been regenerated and converted into apartments and duplex homes. It's an area that's popular with young professionals because it's close to the cultural heart of the city and its busy nightlife. 

Low level furniture works particularly well in homes where space is a premium, whether that's room size or ceiling height. Lower furniture gives rooms a sense of expansiveness and airiness, especially in attic conversions.
