The slatted headboard with its curved edges, adds simple sophistication to the bed. A look that works perfectly in a number of interior design styles.
The Gosforth collection is named after a leafy suburb of Newcastle with a vibrant, community of young professionals, and cafe culture with artisan-style delis and friendly local restaurants and bars.
The Gosforth Bed is hand-sanded to a smooth finish, creating a contemporary, smoother surface while still leaving plenty of natural wood characteristics and features.
Available in double, king or super king sizes, and designed to fit a standard UK mattress size.
Like all our furniture and shelves, The Gosforth Bed Frame is handcrafted and made-to-order in our workshop in the North East of England.
To complement the Gosforth bed we've designed wall-hung bedside tables, the Gosforth Floating Bedside Table. Like the bed, they're sleek, with curved corners. Plus, they're compact in design, providing just enough storage space, but not taking up too much room.

It's part of the Gosforth collection of bedroom furniture. Each piece is hand-sanded to a smooth finish, creating a sleeker, contemporary finish to the solid wood, while still leaving plenty of natural wood features.
Please note: Placing your item near a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features.
Five Fine Wax Finishes
Our Gosforth Bed Frame is finished with a supreme wax polish. It's professionally applied, by hand. We choose to work with wax as it enhances the look of the grains and features in the wood, bringing it to life.
The choice of colours are:

When viewing on screen, colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Because you want the perfect colour for your home these finishes are available to purchase as small samples.

Quick & Easy Assembly
Assembling the Gosforth bed frame takes no time at all and is a very simple process. Your bed will come with easy-to-follow instructions to show you how to put it together.
Care & Clean
Daily care of your Funky Chunky Furniture piece is really simple. Watch our 30second video to find out more.
Your furniture will come with felt protectors, please use these on the bottom of your new furniture to protect your flooring. You will need to make sure that any hard flooring (which includes wood, laminate and vinyl flooring) is completely dry and free from chemical residues before putting your new furniture into place.
As this is a natural wood product with a wax finish any applied force, and friction, can cause the wax to transfer onto surfaces.
If wax transfer does occur we may be able to recommend products to help remove or reduce the appearance of the transfer.
However, we cannot be held responsible for any such incidents, or the use of any products we may suggest. Get in touch with our customer services team for advice.
Future Maintenance With Wax Care Packs
We have wax care packs available to keep your furniture and shelves looking their best. They are great to use every few months to make your piece look brand new all the time. They're also brilliant for fixing any damage. Order your wax care pack here.

As these solid wood beds are handmade we do require some time for manufacturing. Please note that our current lead times are 6-8 weeks. With the Christmas break, these lead times may be affected. We appreciate your understanding and patience. They will then be dispatched with a pallet delivery company. The courier will contact you directly to arrange a delivery date so please ensure to leave a contact number with your order.
The delivery will be a roadside pallet delivery so we recommend that two strong people are available to carry the item into the home. For queries about the pallet delivery service, please contact us at info@funky-chunky-furniture.co.uk
Orders with multiple items will be dispatched according to the longest lead time. To receive your quicker lead time items without having to wait, just place separate orders.
