It's part of the Sandyford collection of bedroom furniture. Each piece is hand-sanded to a smooth finish, creating a sleeker, contemporary finish to the solid wood, while still leaving plenty of natural wood features.

Please note: Placing your item near a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features.

Our Sandyford Bed Frame is finished with a supreme wax polish. It's professionally applied, by hand. We choose to work with wax as it enhances the look of the grains and features in the wood, bringing it to life.

The choice of colours are:

When viewing on screen, colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Time to Assembly

Our bed has been designed with simplicity in mind. With pre-fitted components and an intuitive design, assembly takes less than 5 minutes from start to finish. With our specialised fixing brackets, the build is very quick and super easy - no complicated tools or fiddly parts required. 
Enjoy a hassle-free setup and spend more time relaxing in your beautifully handmade bed.

Quick & Easy Assembly

The headboard and footboard come fully assembled. You will just need to join the two together with the side rails and finish off by inserting the bed slats. Assembling the Sandyford bed frame takes no time at all and is a very simple process. Your bed will come all the parts and with easy-to-follow instructions to show you how to put it together.

Care & Clean

Daily care of your Funky Chunky Furniture piece is really simple. Watch our 30second video to find out more.

Your furniture will come with felt protectors, please use these on the bottom of your new furniture to protect your flooring. You will need to make sure that any hard flooring (which includes wood, laminate and vinyl flooring) is completely dry and free from chemical residues before putting your new furniture into place.

As this is a natural wood product with a wax finish any applied force, and friction, can cause the wax to transfer onto surfaces.

If wax transfer does occur we may be able to recommend products to help remove or reduce the appearance of the transfer.

However, we cannot be held responsible for any such incidents, or the use of any products we may suggest. Get in touch with our customer services team for advice.

Future Maintenance With Wax Care Packs

We have wax care packs available to keep your furniture and shelves looking their best. They are great to use every few months to make your piece look brand new all the time. They're also brilliant for fixing any damage. Order your wax care pack here.

Turnaround & Delivery

As these solid wood beds are handmade we do require some time for manufacturing. Please note that the lead time provided is an approximate guide, and your furniture may be completed slightly earlier or later than this date. If this would cause any issues, please let us know.

Orders with multiple items will be dispatched according to the longest lead time. To receive your quicker lead time items without having to wait, just place separate orders.

Once the order is complete, you will receive a dispatch email. Delivery will be made by our partner Logistics North East and will arrive on the 2nd working day following dispatch. On the morning of delivery, you’ll also get an email/ SMS with a 2-hour time slot. (Please allow an additional 2-5 working days for deliveries to Highlands and Islands).

The delivery will be a roadside pallet delivery, so we recommend that two strong people are available to carry the item into the home. For queries about the pallet delivery service, please contact us at info@funky-chunky-furniture.co.uk.

It is important to open your delivery as soon as it is received so that this can be checked over, and so that the wood can breathe.
