Solid Wood With A Smooth Contemporary Finish

The Gosforth Square Dining Table Set differs from much of our other dining room furniture, with a sleeker, more modern finish.

It's part of the Gosforth collection a range of modern solid wood furniture. Each piece is hand-sanded to a smooth finish, creating a sleeker, contemporary finish to the solid wood, while still leaving plenty of natural wood features.

Please note: Placing your item near a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features.

3 Fine Wax Finish Colours

To finish these wooden dining table sets we use your choice of one of our supreme wax polishes. The finish is professionally applied with the highest attention to detail. And as the wax soaks into the different grains and features, it enhances their look and brings them to life. The available colours are:

• Walnut
• Smoke Pine
• Medium Oak

When viewing on screen, colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Because you want the perfect colour for your home these finishes are available to purchase as small samples. You can order your samples here.

Some Assembly Needed

The Gosforth Dining Stools are fully assembled in our workshop and sent straight to your door, so all you need to do is unpack them and they're ready to use. However, the Gosforth Square Dining Table will require some assembly, with its legs requiring attaching prior to use. Your furniture will come with detailed instructions and everything you need to do this.

Care & Clean

Daily care of your Funky Chunky Furniture piece is really simple. Watch our 30second video to find out more.

Your furniture will come with felt protectors, please use these on the bottom of your new furniture to protect your flooring. You will need to make sure that any hard flooring (which includes wood, laminate and vinyl flooring) is completely dry and free from chemical residues before putting your new furniture into place.

As this is a natural wood product with a wax finish any applied force, and friction, can cause the wax to transfer onto surfaces.

If wax transfer does occur we may be able to recommend products to help remove or reduce the appearance of the transfer.

However, we cannot be held responsible for any such incidents, or the use of any products we may suggest. Get in touch with our customer services team for advice.

Future Maintenance with Wax Care Packs

We have wax care packs available to keep your furniture and shelves looking their best. They are a great to use every few months to make your piece look brand new all the time.

Turnaround & Delivery

As these solid wood dining sets are handmade we do require some time for manufacturing. Please note that the lead time provided is an approximate guide, and your furniture may be completed slightly earlier or later than this date. If this would cause any issues, please let us know.

Orders with multiple items will be dispatched according to the longest lead time. To receive your quicker lead time items without having to wait, just place separate orders.

Once the order is complete, you will receive a dispatch email. Delivery will be made by our partner Logistics North East and will arrive on the 2nd working day following dispatch. On the morning of delivery, you’ll also get an email/ SMS with a 2-hour time slot. (Please allow an additional 2-5 working days for deliveries to Highlands and Islands).
