The Gosforth Dining Bench pairs perfectly with our Gosforth Long Dining Table, or an existing dining table in your home. Add bench style seating to your dining table, on both sides, or choose a dining bench for one side and chairs on the other.
The Gosforth collection is named after an area of Newcastle - a leafy suburb which is popular with young professionals, and has a vibrant cafe culture, with artisan-style delis and friendly restaurants and bars.
Like all our made-to-order furniture the Gosforth Dining Bench is handcrafted in our workshop. It's hand-sanded to a smooth finish, creating a contemporary surface which still has plenty of natural wood features and characteristics.

Our wood comes from forests that are maintained following a globally recognised gold-standard of sustainability. Solid Wood With A Smooth Contemporary Finish
The Gosforth Dining Bench differs from much of our other dining room furniture, with a sleeker, more modern finish.
It's part of the Gosforth collection a range of modern solid wood furniture. Each piece is hand-sanded to a smooth finish, creating a sleeker, contemporary finish to the solid wood, while still leaving plenty of natural wood features.
Please note: Placing your item near a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features.
5 Fine Wax Finish Colours
To finish these wooden dining benches we use your choice of one of our supreme wax polishes. The finish is professionally applied with the highest attention to detail. And as the wax soaks into the different grains and features, it enhances their look and brings them to life. The available colours are:
- Walnut
- Teak
- Smoke Pine
- Medium Oak
- Rustic Pine
When viewing on screen, colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Because you want the perfect colour for your home these finishes are available to purchase as small samples.

Minimal Assembly Needed
These modern dining benches are made in our workshop and sent straight to your door, with minimal assembly required. All you need to do is unpack the bench, fix the legs onto the top and it's ready to use! The bench will come with detailed instructions and all the fixings you need.
Care & Clean
Daily care of your Funky Chunky Furniture piece is really simple. Watch our 30second video to find out more.
Your furniture will come with felt protectors, please use these on the bottom of your new furniture to protect your flooring. You will need to make sure that any hard flooring (which includes wood, laminate and vinyl flooring) is completely dry and free from chemical residues before putting your new furniture into place.
As this is a natural wood product with a wax finish any applied force, and friction, can cause the wax to transfer onto surfaces.
If wax transfer does occur we may be able to recommend products to help remove or reduce the appearance of the transfer.
However, we cannot be held responsible for any such incidents, or the use of any products we may suggest. Get in touch with our customer services team for advice.
Future Maintenance with Wax Care Packs
We have wax care packs available to keep your furniture and shelves looking their best. They are a great to use every few months to make your piece look brand new all the time.
