Delivery Information

UK Mainland

We offer free delivery on all orders of £100+ to addresses within the UK mainland. This free delivery applies to our standard service, which for larger furniture items delivered on a pallet is a Monday–Friday service. Please contact us if you require alternative arrangements.

For delivery to other locations, we simply pass on the additional charges imposed by our couriers and delivery partners.

You can calculate your delivery costs by adding your chosen Funky Chunky Furniture items to your shopping bag and proceeding to checkout. Once you enter your delivery address and postcode, the website will calculate your delivery charge automatically.

If you're just below the £100 free delivery threshold, you might find something useful in our Accessories collection to help take you over that amount.

As all our furniture is handmade to order, we require time to craft your piece. The lead time for each product is listed on its individual product page under the ‘Delivery & Returns’ heading. Please note: if you order multiple items, your entire order will be dispatched together based on the longest lead time.

Shelves and Mantels

All shelves and mantels are quality-checked in our dispatch department before packaging. Where necessary, we add cardboard corner protectors and edge reinforcements. Most are then wrapped in recyclable bubble wrap. Fixings for floating shelves and mantels are packed inside a small cardboard box, which is secured outside the main packaging.

Please provide a mobile phone number and email address at checkout so we can pass these to the courier. This will help ensure a smooth delivery, especially if you’ve left special instructions.

Important: Open your delivery as soon as it arrives to check it over and allow the wood to breathe.

 

Small Furniture

This category includes items such as coffee tables, tv stands, console tables and side tables .

Each item is fully assembled in our workshop to ensure all parts fit correctly, then disassembled for dispatch. The items are quality-checked, and where needed, we apply corner and edge protectors before carefully wrapping them in bubble wrap.

Please ensure you leave a mobile number and email address at checkout, which we’ll pass to the courier to aid with delivery.

Important: Please open your delivery as soon as possible to inspect it and allow the wood to breathe.

 

Large Furniture

Larger furniture items are also fully assembled in our workshop to check fit and finish. If home assembly is required, they are disassembled into components before dispatch.

Each item is quality-checked and appropriately packaged, then loaded onto a pallet ready for courier collection.

It is essential to provide a phone number and email address at checkout. These will be forwarded to the courier so they can contact you directly to arrange a delivery date.

Once your order is dispatched, you’ll receive an email from us. Our pallet delivery partner, BM Stafford, will then contact you by email to confirm the delivery date. If the proposed date doesn’t work for you, you must respond to them within 24 hours to rearrange. Please note: couriers can hold items for a maximum of 5 days from receiving their initial email any additional storage time may incur a charge.

Saturday deliveries are available for an additional charge. Please contact us if you require this option.

Deliveries are made kerbside only. Couriers are not obliged to carry items into your home or premises, so we recommend that two strong people are available to receive and move the goods.

You must be present on the agreed delivery date. If no one is available, the delivery will be returned to the depot. Additional delivery attempts will incur an extra charge.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to inform us of any access issues in advance. Failed deliveries due to access problems may result in additional charges.

Upon delivery, please inspect your items for any visible damage before signing. If the driver cannot wait, sign and write “unchecked” next to your signature to retain the right to report any issues later.

Please note: Open your delivery as soon as you receive it so it can be inspected, and the wood can breathe.

The delivery company will not take the empty pallet away with them. Please dispose of it responsibly via your local recycling centre or council collection service. Further information can be found in our Frequently Asked Questions section.

 


Highlands, Isles of Scotland, and Europe

We also deliver to the Highlands and Isles of Scotland. For these destinations, please allow an additional 2–5 working days for delivery.

We are currently unable to deliver to EU countries, but we are actively working on a solution and hope to offer this service soon.
