The Tunstall's innovative design allows the bed frame to be positioned two different ways
In Position One, the bed frame sits beneath the headboard, creating the illusion of a floating footboard. This setup gives a clean, contemporary look, ideal for minimalist or modern interiors.
In Position Two, the frame is reversed so that it extends under the footboard, making the headboard appear to float while the base looks strong and grounded. It’s a subtle design change that transforms the whole feel of your room.

Time to Assembly
Our bed has been designed with simplicity in mind. With pre-fitted components and an intuitive design, assembly takes less than 5 minutes from start to finish. With our specialised fixing brackets, the build is very quick and super easy - no complicated tools or fiddly parts required.

Quick & Easy Assembly
Assembling the Tunstall bed frame takes no time at all and is a very simple process. Here is a quick summary of how to do it:
- Position the bed in the location you would like it to be in your room.
- Place the 2 side rails on the floor near to where they will be joining the headboard and place the footboard at the bottom end of the rails.
- Attach one end of one rail in to the footboard and then do the same with the other rail
- From behind the headboard screw in bolts in to the side rail.
- Repeat this with the other rail and make sure all is firmly in place.
- Place the slats into the grooves on the side rails.
It's that simple and all you need to do next is add your mattress and bedding.
Assembling the Headboard takes no time at all and is a very simple process.
- Decide the height you’d like your headboard.
- Attach the included French cleats to the wall using the provided screws and plugs.
- Simply lift the headboard and hook it onto the wall cleats until it locks securely.
Care & Clean
Daily care of your Funky Chunky Furniture piece is really simple. Watch our 30 second video to find out more.
Your furniture will come with plastic "feet", please use these on the bottom of your new furniture to protect your flooring. You will need to make sure that any hard flooring (which includes wood, laminate and vinyl flooring) is completely dry and free from chemical residues before putting your new furniture into place.
Fabric you can clean just with water. For normal Fabric maintenance we recommend that you vacuum the entire surface area regularly. You can use a normal home vacuum cleaner with a brush fitting.
Water cleaning in three simple steps
Remove any excess residue on the upholstery.
Apply water over the stain, either directly or using a damp cloth.
Wait a few seconds.
Press down over the stain with the damp cloth and rub gently over the fabric using circular movements. If the stain does not come off completely, repeat the process as required.
Future Maintenance with Wax Care Packs
We have wax care packs available to keep your furniture and shelves looking their best. They are a great to use every few months to make your piece look brand new all the time.

Turnaround & Delivery
As these solid wood bed frames are handmade we do require some time for manufacturing. This will normally take 2-3 working weeks.
Please note that the lead time provided is an approximate guide, and your furniture may be completed slightly earlier or later than this date. If this would cause any issues, please let us know.
Orders with multiple items will be dispatched according to the longest lead time. To receive your quicker lead time items without having to wait, just place separate orders.
Once the order is complete, you will receive a dispatch email. Delivery will be made by our partner Logistics North East and will arrive on the 2nd working day following dispatch. On the morning of delivery, you’ll also get an email/ SMS with a 2-hour time slot. (Please allow an additional 2-5 working days for deliveries to Highlands and Islands).
