Our wood comes from forests that are maintained following a globally recognised gold-standard of sustainability. Forests that are so well-managed that they help to fight deforestation and protect wildlife habitats for the species that call them home.
Solid Rustic Timber
To make these industrial hairpin dining tables we select top quality, unsorted, kiln-dried pine. Each table is cut to size and finished in our signature rustic style. This leaves in lots of natural timber characteristics and features. Mother Nature's own stamp of approval.
In this style you can expect to find splits, cracks, knots, shakes, waney edges, bows and twists, along with machine marks in keeping with the rustic style. These are the qualities that set our hairpin furniture apart from the rest. And due to the nature of solid wood every handmade dining table will be different. Truly unique. One of a kind. Please note that placing your item near to a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features.
4 Hairpin Leg Colours
With four colours of hairpin legs to choose from you can create a really iconic dining table. Choose to match your existing colour palette, or go for an accent colour, or very fashionable copper or brass.
The hairpin legs are made from steel, which is then either spray painted with a paint colour or electro-plated with a thin layer of real copper or brass. The result is a metal leg that is strong and durable, and also looks fantastic. The colour options are:

5 Fine Wax Finish Colours
To finish these chunky dining tables we use your choice of one of our supreme wax polishes. The finish is professionally applied with the highest attention to detail. And as the wax soaks into the different grains and features, it enhances their look and brings them to life. The available colours are:

- Teak
- Smoke Pine
- Medium Oak
- Rustic Pine
When viewing on screen, colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Because you want the perfect colour for your home these finishes are available to purchase as small samples.

Hairpin Legs & Easy Assembly
These Ouseburn Hairpin Dining Tables & Hairpin Benches come supplied with four hairpin legs each. They aren't attached to the table on delivery and will require some assembly.
But do not worry! The assembly is very quick and easy. Place the table top or bench top bottom side up. Position the legs in place. Secure the legs to the table and benches with the fixings provided. Flip the table and benches upright onto its legs and position where you like.

As these solid wood dining tables and benches are handmade we do require some time for manufacturing. This will normally take 3-4 weeks. They will then be dispatched with a pallet delivery company. The courier will contact you directly to arrange a delivery date so please ensure to leave a contact number with your order.
The delivery will be a roadside pallet delivery so we recommend that two strong people are available to carry the item into the home. For queries about the pallet delivery service, please contact us at info@funky-chunky-furniture.co.uk
Orders with multiple items will be dispatched according to the longest lead time. To receive your quicker lead time items without having to wait, just place separate orders.
