Our Gosforth Square Dining Table is a stylish, modern wooden dining table that's been designed especially for smaller kitchen diners.
If you're trying to create a dining space that's minimal and contemporary, this square dining is the perfect choice.
Handcrafted from sustainably sourced solid wood, the square dining table has smooth surfaces and curved corners. A sophisticated and unfussy style. at 88cm square, the Gosforth wooden square dining table is the perfect size to sit two people comfortably, or three for a quick bite to eat.
Pair it with our Gosforth Dining Stools, which fit neatly underneath the table when it's not in use. We sell them as a set too.
Like all our made-to-order furniture the Gosforth Square Dining Table is handcrafted in our workshop. It's hand-sanded to a smooth finish, creating a contemporary surface which still has plenty of natural wood features and characteristics.
If you're looking for a longer table, our Gosforth Long Dining Table has the same design, but is 180cm long, and is available on its own, or as a dining set too. Pair it with our Gosforth benches to complete the look.
The Gosforth collection is named after an area of Newcastle - a leafy suburb which is popular with young professionals, and has a vibrant cafe culture, with artisan-style delis and friendly restaurants and bars.

Solid Wood With A Smooth Contemporary Finish
The Gosforth Square Dining Table differs from much of our other dining room furniture, with a sleeker, more modern finish.
It's part of the Gosforth collection a range of modern solid wood furniture. Each piece is hand-sanded to a smooth finish, creating a sleeker, contemporary finish to the solid wood, while still leaving plenty of natural wood features.
Please note: Placing your item near a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features.
3 Fine Wax Finish Colours
To finish these wooden square dining tables we use your choice of one of our supreme wax polishes. The finish is professionally applied with the highest attention to detail. And as the wax soaks into the different grains and features, it enhances their look and brings them to life. The available colours are:

- Smoke Pine
- Medium Oak
When viewing on screen, colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Because you want the perfect colour for your home these finishes are available to purchase as small samples. You can order your samples here.

Some Assembly Needed
The Gosforth Square Dining Table will require some assembly, with its legs requiring attaching prior to use. Your furniture will come with detailed instructions and everything you need to do this.
Care & Clean
Daily care of your Funky Chunky Furniture piece is really simple. Watch our 30second video to find out more.
Your furniture will come with felt protectors, please use these on the bottom of your new furniture to protect your flooring. You will need to make sure that any hard flooring (which includes wood, laminate and vinyl flooring) is completely dry and free from chemical residues before putting your new furniture into place.
As this is a natural wood product with a wax finish any applied force, and friction, can cause the wax to transfer onto surfaces.
If wax transfer does occur we may be able to recommend products to help remove or reduce the appearance of the transfer.
However, we cannot be held responsible for any such incidents, or the use of any products we may suggest. Get in touch with our customer services team for advice.
Future Maintenance with Wax Care Packs
We have wax care packs available to keep your furniture and shelves looking their best. They are a great to use every few months to make your piece look brand new all the time.

Turnaround & Delivery
As these solid wood dining tables are handmade we do require some time for manufacturing. This will normally take 6-8 working weeks. Please note that the lead time provided is an approximate guide, and your furniture may be completed slightly earlier or later than this date. If this would cause any issues, please let us know.
Orders with multiple items will be dispatched according to the longest lead time. To receive your quicker lead time items without having to wait, just place separate orders.
Once the order is complete, you will receive a dispatch email. Delivery will be made by our partner Logistics North East and will arrive on the 2nd working day following dispatch. On the morning of delivery, you’ll also get an email/ SMS with a 2-hour time slot. (Please allow an additional 2-5 working days for deliveries to Highlands and Islands).
