Our Gosforth Long Dining Table and Benches is a large dining set with an impressive design. It's the perfect centrepiece for kitchen diner, creating a sense of sophisticated drama in your home.
At 180cm long, the contemporary lines of the Gosforth Long Dining Table will look at home in a modern space. In this large dining set the Gosforth table is paired with two wooden dining benches that slide underneath when not in use to free up floor space.
The Gosforth Long Dining Table And Benches will comfortably seat six, with three on either side. Plus there's the option to add seating at either end with one of our Gosforth Stools.
Made from solid wood, its smooth surfaces and curved corners create a dining set with a sophisticated and unfussy style.
Like all our made-to-order furniture the Gosforth Square Dining Table Set is handcrafted in our workshop. It's hand-sanded to a smooth finish, creating a contemporary surface which still has plenty of natural wood features and characteristics.
The Gosforth collection is named after an area of Newcastle - a leafy suburb which is popular with young professionals, and has a vibrant cafe culture, with artisan-style delis and friendly restaurants and bars.

Solid Wood With A Smooth Contemporary Finish
The Gosforth Long Dining Table Set differs from much of our other dining room furniture, with a sleeker, more modern finish.
It's part of the Gosforth collection a range of modern solid wood furniture. Each piece is hand-sanded to a smooth finish, creating a sleeker, contemporary finish to the solid wood, while still leaving plenty of natural wood features.
Please note: Placing your item near a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features.
3 Fine Wax Finish Colours
To finish these wooden dining table sets we use your choice of one of our supreme wax polishes. The finish is professionally applied with the highest attention to detail. And as the wax soaks into the different grains and features, it enhances their look and brings them to life. The available colours are:

- Medium Oak
When viewing on screen, colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Because you want the perfect colour for your home these finishes are available to purchase as small samples. You can order your samples here.

Some Assembly Needed
The Gosforth Dining Benches are fully assembled in our workshop and sent straight to your door, so all you need to do is unpack them and they're ready to use. However, the Gosforth Long Dining Table will require some assembly, with its legs requiring attaching prior to use. Your furniture will come with detailed instructions and everything you need to do this.
Care & Clean
Daily care of your Funky Chunky Furniture piece is really simple. Watch our 30second video to find out more.
Your furniture will come with felt protectors, please use these on the bottom of your new furniture to protect your flooring. You will need to make sure that any hard flooring (which includes wood, laminate and vinyl flooring) is completely dry and free from chemical residues before putting your new furniture into place.
As this is a natural wood product with a wax finish any applied force, and friction, can cause the wax to transfer onto surfaces.
If wax transfer does occur we may be able to recommend products to help remove or reduce the appearance of the transfer.
However, we cannot be held responsible for any such incidents, or the use of any products we may suggest. Get in touch with our customer services team for advice.
Future Maintenance with Wax Care Packs
We have wax care packs available to keep your furniture and shelves looking their best. They are a great to use every few months to make your piece look brand new all the time.

Turnaround & Delivery
As these solid wood dining sets are handmade we do require some time for manufacturing. This will normally take 6-8 working weeks. Please note that the lead time provided is an approximate guide, and your furniture may be completed slightly earlier or later than this date. If this would cause any issues, please let us know.
Orders with multiple items will be dispatched according to the longest lead time. To receive your quicker lead time items without having to wait, just place separate orders.
Once the order is complete, you will receive a dispatch email. Delivery will be made by our partner Logistics North East and will arrive on the 2nd working day following dispatch. On the morning of delivery, you’ll also get an email/ SMS with a 2-hour time slot. (Please allow an additional 2-5 working days for deliveries to Highlands and Islands).
