At 155cm tall, this wooden A frame shelving system is a great way to create both storage and a focal point in your home.
There's plenty of places around the home where free standing shelving storage will come in handy! Whether that's in a living room, an open plan kitchen as a modern take on the traditional dresser, or a home office.
Plus, because it's freestanding there's no need to get the drill out to put up these shelves!
The A Frame is finished in our contemporary ebony stain, and the shelves are our smooth shelving and are available in five wax finishes. So you can really create a freestanding shelving system that fits with your home's interior style.
The A Frame Shelving System is made from pine timbers. The A Frame has a hinge at the top, which enables the system to open up to its intended shape. The frame has three distinct spaces for the supplied shelves. The shelves themselves are in our smooth finish and have brackets underneath which enable them to fit snugly and securely onto the A Frame in the correct position.
Complete the look with more shelving from our collection of floating shelves (suitable for solid walls), or bracketed shelves (suitable for any wall type).

Sustainably Sourced Wood
Funky Chunky Furniture’s shelves, mantels and furniture are made from sustainably sourced wood. Our wood comes from forests that are maintained following a globally recognised gold-standard of sustainability. Forests that are so well-managed that they help to fight deforestation and protect wildlife habitats for the species that call them home.
Solid Pine Timber
The A Frame Shelving System is made from solid pine timbers that are kiln-dried. Both the frame and the shelves are cut to size and hand-sanded to our contemporary smooth style. While this leaves the surfaces smoother and flatter than our Rustic shelving, we still like to leave plenty of natural timber characteristics and features.
In the Smooth range, these features are less prominent than in our Rustic range but can still include waney edges, knots, splits, cracks and shakes, and some sanding marks. These are the qualities that set our shelving apart from the rest. And due to the nature of solid wood every shelf will be different. Truly unique. One of a kind. Please note that placing your item above or near a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may cause the timber to twist or bow.
All sizes and weights given are approximate. As we only use natural, solid timber, measurements can change slightly from one piece to another.
Ebony Stain & Fine Wax Finish Colours
The A Frame Shelving System has two finishes on it.
The frame itself is finished with our ebony stain - which creates a beautifully rich and dark colour on the wood. You can order samples of the finish here.
The shelves are available in a choice of our five wax finish colours - Walnut, Teak, Rustic Pine, Medium Oak and Smoke Oak. You can order samples of their finishes here.
When viewing on screen, colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. So we would recommend ordering samples to make sure you're happy with the finishes you choose.
Some Assembly Required
The A Frame Shelving System will come with instructions for assembly, but it's very straightforward.
- Unpack all the shelves and the frame.
- Then open the frame and stand it where you wish it to be in your home
- Place the shelves on their corresponding fixing points
- You're done! Now you can style your shelving system!
Care & Clean
As with all natural wood furniture we would strongly recommend that you protect our furniture from heat and moisture, with the use of coasters, heat-protective mats, and other precautionary measures.

Future Maintenance with Care Packs
We have care packs available to keep your A Frame Shelving System looking its best. They are a great to use every few months to make your piece look brand new all the time. They're also brilliant for fixing damage. You will need to order an Ebony care pack for the frame, and the correct colour wax care pack for your shelves.

As these A Frame Shelving Systems are handmade to order we do require some time for manufacturing. This will normally take 1 week.
They will then be dispatched and will usually be delivered within 1-2 working days providing that there are no courier delays. It is important to open your delivery as soon as it is received so that this can be checked over, and so that the wood can breathe.
Orders with multiple items will be dispatched according to the longest lead time. To receive your quicker lead time items without having to wait, just place separate orders.
