The Wylam Dining Bench is a wonderful addition to your seating, with a charming design and refined rustic style.
At 145cm long, this wooden dining bench adds plenty of seating space for all your dinner guests, whether it's a casual everyday meal, a family get-together, or an evening with friends.
Dining benches are perfect for busy households, or smaller homes, as they simply push underneath the dining table and out of the way when not in use.
They also create a more relaxed, homely, feel around the dining table. Friends and family can sit comfortably and cosily next to each other on the bench, and you can always squeeze in an extra place setting for unexpected guests!
Made from sustainably sourced wood, its smooth finish has been hand-sanded creating a contemporary surface but still keeping all the charm of natural wood and its features.

Our wood comes from forests that are maintained following a globally recognised gold-standard of sustainability. Forests that are so well-managed that they help to fight deforestation and protect wildlife habitats for the species that call them home.
Solid Wood With A Smooth Contemporary Finish
To make these solid wood dining tables we select top quality, unsorted, kiln-dried pine. Each rustic dining table is cut to size and then hand-sanded to a sleeker, more refined finish, while still leaving plenty of natural wood features.
These are the qualities that set our furniture apart from the rest. And due to the nature of solid wood every bench will be different. Truly unique. One of a kind.
Please note:
- Placing your item near to a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features.
- All sizes and weights given are approximate. As we only use natural, solid timber, measurements can change slightly from one piece to another.
Five Fine Wax Finishes
To finish our wooden dining benches we use your choice of one of our supreme wax polishes. The finish is professionally applied with the highest attention to detail. And as the wax soaks into the different grains and features, it enhances their look and brings them to life. The available colours are:
- Walnut
- Teak
- Smoke Pine
- Medium Oak
- Rustic Pine
When viewing on screen, colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Because you want the perfect colour for your home these finishes are available to purchase as small samples.

Quick & Easy Assembly
Your Wylam dining bench will be delivered to you in three parts - the benchtop, and the two legs. It will also come with simple to follow instructions to ensure the assembly is quick and easy.
We'd recommend assembling the bench within the room it is intended to be used in (it's easier than getting it through doors fully assembled!)
Simply place the benchtop on the floor, upside down. Screw the legs into position using the screws provided. Then turn the bench up the right way and place wherever you wish to use it in your home.
Due to the weight of solid wood furniture we would recommend two people are present for assembly.
Care & Clean
Daily care of your Funky Chunky Furniture piece is really simple. Watch our 30second video to find out more.
Your furniture will come with felt protectors, please use these on the bottom of your new furniture to protect your flooring. You will need to make sure that any hard flooring (which includes wood, laminate and vinyl flooring) is completely dry and free from chemical residues before putting your new furniture into place.
As this is a natural wood product with a wax finish any applied force, and friction, can cause the wax to transfer onto surfaces.
If wax transfer does occur we may be able to recommend products to help remove or reduce the appearance of the transfer.
However, we cannot be held responsible for any such incidents, or the use of any products we may suggest. Get in touch with our customer services team for advice.
Future Maintenance With Wax Care Packs
We have wax care packs available to keep your furniture and shelves looking their best. They are great to use every few months to make your piece look brand new all the time. They're also brilliant for fixing any damage. Order your wax care pack here.

As these solid wood dining benches are handmade we do require some time for manufacturing.
Please note that our current lead times are 6-8 weeks. With the Christmas break, these lead times may be affected. We appreciate your understanding and patience. They will then be dispatched on a next working day courier service to UK mainland. (More remote UK areas and Northern Ireland could see an extra 1-2 days for delivery).
Orders with multiple items will be dispatched according to the longest lead time. To receive your quicker lead time items without having to wait, just place separate orders.
