With a rectangle shaped top and four chunky legs, these wooden benches have been designed to go hand in hand with our Coleridge Dining Table and are a great alternative to the normal dining chair. Not only do they provide you with a good amount of seating space, but the benches also fit tidily under the standard sizes dining tables; 85cm bench for a 120cm table, 115cm bench for a 150cm table, and a 145cm bench for a 180cm table.

Solid Rustic Timber
To make these rustic benches we select top quality, unsorted, kiln-dried pine. Each bench is cut to size and finished in our signature rustic style. This leaves in lots of natural timber characteristics and features. Mother Natures own stamp of approval.
In this style you can expect to find splits, cracks, knots, shakes, waney edges, bows and twists, along with machine marks in keeping with the rustic style. These are the qualities that set our furniture apart from the rest. And due to the nature of solid wood every bench will be different. Truly unique. One of a kind. Please note that placing your item near to a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features.
4 Fine Wax Finish Colours
To finish these chunky benches we use your choice of one of our supreme wax polishes. The finish is professionally applied with the highest attention to detail. And as the wax soaks into the different grains and features, it enhances their look and brings them to life. The available colours are:
- Walnut
- Teak
- Smoke Pine
- Medium Oak
When viewing on screen, colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Because you want the perfect colour for your home these finishes are available to purchase as small samples. You can order your samples here.

Minor Assembly Required
Our Coleridge Dining Benches are delivered 'nearly assembled' - the wooden legs aren't attached to the wooden bench top on delivery. Do not worry. The assembly is very quick and easy. Place the bench bottom side up. Position the legs in place and secure them to the bench with the fixings provided. Then, turn the wooden bench upright onto its legs, and position it where you like. They do come with full instructions as well.
Care & Clean
Daily care of your Funky Chunky Furniture piece is really simple. Watch our 30second video to find out more.
Your furniture will come with felt protectors, please use these on the bottom of your new furniture to protect your flooring. You will need to make sure that any hard flooring (which includes wood, laminate and vinyl flooring) is completely dry and free from chemical residues before putting your new furniture into place.
As this is a natural wood product with a wax finish any applied force, and friction, can cause the wax to transfer onto surfaces.
If wax transfer does occur we may be able to recommend products to help remove or reduce the appearance of the transfer.
However, we cannot be held responsible for any such incidents, or the use of any products we may suggest. Get in touch with our customer services team for advice.
Future Maintenance with Wax Care Packs
We have wax care packs available to keep your furniture and shelves looking their best. They are a great to use every few months to make your piece look brand new all the time.

Turnaround & Delivery
As these solid wood benches are handmade we do require some time for manufacturing. This will normally take 1 week. They will then be dispatched on a next working day courier service to UK mainland. (More remote UK areas and Northern Ireland could see an extra 1-2 days for delivery).
