Like all our furniture, the Grainger Bed is handmade in our UK workshop using sustainably sourced timber. Each bed is thoughtfully sanded and finished to create a smooth, tactile surface while retaining the timber’s natural charm and character.

To make these Grainer wooden loft beds we select top quality, unsorted, kiln-dried pine. Each handmade bed frame is cut to size and finished in our signature rustic style. This leaves in lots of natural timber characteristics and features. Mother Nature's own stamp of approval.
In this style you can expect to find splits, cracks, knots, shakes, waney edges, bows and twists, along with machine marks in keeping with the rustic style. These are the qualities that set our furniture apart from the rest. And due to the nature of solid wood every bed frame will be different. Truly unique. One of a kind. Please note that further movement may occur within the timber, particularly if the item is placed near to a heat source, which may exaggerate these natural features.

Quick & Easy Assembly
Assembling the Grainger bed frame takes no time at all and is a very simple process. Here is a quick summary of how to do it:
- Position the bed in the location you would like it to be in your room.
- Place the 2 side rails on the floor near to where they will be joining the headboard and place the footboard at the bottom end of the rails.
- Attach one end of one rail in to the footboard and then do the same with the other rail
- From behind the headboard screw in bolts in to the side rail.
- Repeat this with the other rail and make sure all is firmly in place.
- Place the slats into the grooves on the side rails.
It's that simple and all you need to do next is add your mattress and bedding.
Care & Clean
Daily care of your Funky Chunky Furniture piece is really simple. Watch our 30 second video to find out more.
Your furniture will come with plastic "feet", please use these on the bottom of your new furniture to protect your flooring. You will need to make sure that any hard flooring (which includes wood, laminate and vinyl flooring) is completely dry and free from chemical residues before putting your new furniture into place.
As this is a natural wood product with a wax finish any applied force, and friction, can cause the wax to transfer onto surfaces.
If wax transfer does occur we may be able to recommend products to help remove or reduce the appearance of the transfer.
However, we cannot be held responsible for any such incidents, or the use of any products we may suggest. Get in touch with our customer services team for advice.
Future Maintenance with Wax Care Packs
We have wax care packs available to keep your furniture and shelves looking their best. They are a great to use every few months to make your piece look brand new all the time.

Turnaround & Delivery
As these solid wood bed frames are handmade we do require some time for manufacturing. This will normally take 4-6 working weeks. Please note that the lead time provided is an approximate guide, and your furniture may be completed slightly earlier or later than this date. If this would cause any issues, please let us know.
Orders with multiple items will be dispatched according to the longest lead time. To receive your quicker lead time items without having to wait, just place separate orders.

Once the order is complete, you will receive a dispatch email. Delivery will be made by our partner Logistics North East and will arrive on the 2nd working day following dispatch. On the morning of delivery, you’ll also get an email/ SMS with a 2-hour time slot. (Please allow an additional 2-5 working days for deliveries to Highlands and Islands).
