Funky Chunky Furniture’s shelves, mantels and furniture are made from sustainably sourced wood. Our wood comes from forests that are maintained following a globally recognised gold-standard of sustainability. Forests that are so well-managed that they help to fight deforestation and protect wildlife habitats for the species that call them home.
Solid Rustic Timber
To make these rustic coffee tables and their storage shelves we select top quality, unsorted, kiln-dried pine. Each coffee table is cut to size and finished in our signature rustic style. This leaves in lots of natural timber characteristics and features. Mother Natures own stamp of approval.
In this style you can expect to find splits, cracks, knots, shakes, waney edges, bows and twists, along with machine marks in keeping with the rustic style. These are the qualities that set our furniture apart from the rest. And due to the nature of solid wood every coffee table will be different. Truly unique. One of a kind. Please note that further movement may occur within the timber, particularly if the item is placed near to a heat source, which may exaggerate these natural features.
5 Fine Wax Finish Colours
To finish these chunky coffee tables we use your choice of one of our supreme wax polishes. The finish is professionally applied with the highest attention to detail. And as the wax soaks into the different grains and features, it enhances their look and brings them to life. The available colours are:
- Walnut

- Smoke Pine
- Medium Oak
- Rustic Pine
When viewing on screen, colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Because you want the perfect colour for your home these finishes are available to purchase as small samples.

Quick & Easy Assembly
Assembling the coffee table takes no time at all and is a very simple process. Full instructions will be included, but here is a quick summary of how to do it:
- Place the table top, top side down, onto a flat surface.
- Fix the leg brackets to the legs - The leg brackets are partially fixed to the coffee table legs, with one screw when you receive the package. You will need to rotate the brackets so that the fixing holes line up with the pre-drilled holes at the top of the legs.
- Using the screws with the slightly smaller screw head, fix the brackets tight to the legs..
- Slide the leg brackets over the loose bolts on the table top.
- Tighten the bolts with the Allen key provided.
- Line up shelf bracket fixing points to the pre-drilled holes on the inside of the legs.
- With the remaining screws (screws with the bigger screw head) fix the shelf in position.
- Place your table the correct way up..
With the easy part over all you need to do next is decide where to put your new table.
Care & Clean
Daily care of your Funky Chunky Furniture piece is really simple. Watch our 30second video to find out more.
Your furniture will come with felt protectors, please use these on the bottom of your new furniture to protect your flooring. You will need to make sure that any hard flooring (which includes wood, laminate and vinyl flooring) is completely dry and free from chemical residues before putting your new furniture into place.
As this is a natural wood product with a wax finish any applied force, and friction, can cause the wax to transfer onto surfaces.
If wax transfer does occur we may be able to recommend products to help remove or reduce the appearance of the transfer.
However, we cannot be held responsible for any such incidents, or the use of any products we may suggest. Get in touch with our customer services team for advice.
Future Maintenance with Wax Care Packs
We have wax care packs available to keep your furniture and shelves looking their best. They are a great to use every few months to make your piece look brand new all the time.<

As these solid wood coffee tables are handmade we do require some time for manufacturing. This will normally take 1 week they will then be dispatched and will usually be delivered within 1-2 working days to UK mainland. (More remote UK areas and Northern Ireland could see an extra 1-2 days for delivery). It is important to open your delivery as soon as it is received so that this can be checked over, and so that the wood can breathe.
Orders with multiple items will be dispatched according to the longest lead time. To receive your quicker lead time items without having to wait, just place separate orders.
