These 9x1.5 rustic floating shelves are handmade from the best quality solid pine timber. They're finished in our signature style. Create your shelf by choosing from 14 different lengths and five fine wax finish colours. You choose the shelf to suit you.
These rustic floating wooden shelves are in our Outlet section, which is shelving from cancelled orders, where a customer has placed an order and then changed their mind about their finish colour, or even cancelled their order after we've already made them in the workshop.
This shelving is in perfect condition, it is not a “second” or damaged.
The only reason we’re selling them at a discount is that the shelving is currently taking up space in our storage area of the workshop – storage that we need for other orders that we are busy making. You benefit from buying our handmade shelving that’s already made and ready to be dispatched, at a discounted price. And we get some much needed space back in our workshop!
In most cases, there will be limited choice of lengths and wax finishes, depending on what we've got already made, and ready to go in the workshop.
If you don't find the size or colour you want you can buy these shelves our shelving section, at full price, or keep checking the Outlet, and you may just get lucky and find the one you're after in here!
These shelves can only be installed onto solid walls - All fixings are provided with pre-drilled holes in the back. And full fitting instructions for easy installation.

Sustainably Sourced Wood
Funky Chunky Furniture’s shelves, mantels and furniture are made from sustainably sourced wood. Our wood comes from forests that are maintained following a globally recognised gold-standard of sustainability. Forests that are so well-managed that they help to fight deforestation and protect wildlife habitats for the species that call them home.
Solid Rustic Timber
To make these rustic floating shelves we select top-quality, unsorted, kiln-dried pine. Each shelf is cut to size and finished in our signature rustic style. This leaves in lots of natural timber characteristics and features. Mother Nature's own stamp of approval.
In this style, you can expect to find splits, cracks, knots, shakes, waney edges, bows, and twists, along with machine marks in keeping with the rustic style. These are the qualities that set our shelving apart from the rest. And due to the nature of solid wood every shelf will be different. Truly unique. One of a kind. Rustic timber. Please note that placing your item above or near to a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features.
All sizes and weights given are approximate. As we only use natural, solid timber, measurements can change slightly from one piece to another.
5 Fine Wax Finish Colours
To finish these chunky wood shelves we use your choice of one of our supreme wax polishes. The finish is professionally applied with the highest attention to detail. And as the wax soaks into the different grains and features it enhances their look and brings them to life. The colours are:
- Walnut
- Teak
- Smoke Pine
- Medium Oak
- Rustic Pine
When viewing on screen colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Because you want the perfect colour for your home these finishes are available to purchase as small samples.

Strong Fixings & Easy Installation
When you receive your floating shelves, the packaging will also include fixings. We provide you with fixings that have been designed specifically for the installation of our wooden shelves and mantels. We would recommend fixing it to solid wall types only. With the help of a professional joiner, or a skilled DIY enthusiast they can be fitted to timber frame walls as well. We are not able to guarantee the shelves if you do not use the fixings we supply, or if they are installed into alternative wall types.

Turnaround & Delivery
These rustic floating shelves are in storage in our workshop, and once they have been packed they will then be dispatched and will usually be delivered within 1-2 working days providing that there are no courier delays. It is important to open your delivery as soon as it is received so that this can be checked over, and so that the wood can breathe.
Please note: orders with multiple items will be dispatched according to the longest lead time. To receive your quicker lead time items without having to wait, just place separate orders.
