Funky Chunky Furniture’s shelves, mantels, and furniture are crafted from responsibly sourced wood. We work with suppliers who prioritise sustainable forestry, ensuring forests are well-managed to support biodiversity, protect wildlife habitats, and promote long-term regeneration.

Solid Rustic Timber

To make these rustic wine racks we select top quality, unsorted, kiln-dried pine. Each wine rack is cut to size and finished in our signature rustic style. This leaves in lots of natural timber characteristics and features. Mother Nature's own stamp of approval.

In this style, you can expect to find splits, cracks, knots, shakes, wavy edges, bows and twists, along with machine marks in keeping with the rustic style. These are the qualities that set our furniture apart from the rest. And due to the nature of solid wood, every wine rack will be different. Truly unique. One of a kind. Please note that placing your item near a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features.

3 Fine Wax Finish Colours

To finish these rustic wine racks we use your choice of one of our supreme wax polishes. The finish is professionally applied with the highest attention to detail. And as the wax soaks into the different grains and features, it enhances the look and brings them to life. The available colours are:

• Walnut
• Smoke Pine
• Medium Oak

When viewing on screen, colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Because you want the perfect colour for your home these finishes are available to purchase as small samples. You can order your samples here.

No Assembly Needed

These rustic wine racks are fully assembled in our workshop and sent straight to your door, so all you need to do is unpack the wine rack and its ready to use! Please note that wine is not included.

As the steel top and base are unfinished they may be prone to rust over time. This can easily be treated with some wire wool. Or if you'd like to finish them yourself you could add a clear wax or oil. Paint or powder coating can provide a colour finish.

Future Maintenance With Wax Care Packs

We have wax care packs available to keep your furniture and shelves looking their best. They are great to use every few months to make your piece look brand new all the time.

Turnaround & Delivery

As these solid wood wine racks are handmade we do require some time for manufacturing. Please note that the lead time provided is an approximate guide, and your furniture may be completed slightly earlier or later than this date. If this would cause any issues, please let us know.

Orders with multiple items will be dispatched according to the longest lead time. To receive your quicker lead time items without having to wait, just place separate orders.

Once the order is complete, you will receive a dispatch email. Delivery will be made by our partner Logistics North East and will arrive on the 2nd working day following dispatch. On the morning of delivery, you’ll also get an email/ SMS with a 2-hour time slot. (Please allow an additional 2-5 working days for deliveries to Highlands and Islands).
