These rustic floating mantel beams are handmade from the best quality solid pine. They're designed to accent your fireplace with rustic charm. Available in 14 different lengths and five fine wax finish colours.
These mantels can only be installed onto solid walls. All fixings are provided, with pre-drilled keyholes in the back. And full fitting instructions for easy installation.
Complete the look with our fireplace accessories which includes fire buckets, tools and log baskets.

Funky Chunky Furniture’s shelves, mantels and furniture are made from sustainably sourced wood. Our wood comes from forests that are maintained following a globally recognised gold-standard of sustainability. Forests that are so well-managed that they help to fight deforestation and protect wildlife habitats for the species that call them home.
Solid Rustic Timber
To make these rustic mantel beams we select top quality, unsorted, kiln-dried pine. Each shelf is cut to size and finished in our signature rustic style. This leaves in lots of natural timber characteristics and features. Mother Nature's own stamp of approval.
In this style you can expect to find splits, cracks, knots, shakes, waney edges, bows and twists along with machine marks in keeping with the rustic style. These are the qualities that set our shelving apart from the rest. And due to the nature of solid wood every shelf will be different. Truly unique. One of a kind. Rustic timber. Please note that placing your item above or near to a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features.
All sizes and weights given are approximate. As we only use natural, solid timber, measurements can change slightly from one piece to another.
5 Fine Wax Finish Colours
To finish these chunky fireplace beams we use your choice of one of our supreme wax polishes. The finish is professionally applied with the highest attention to detail. And as the wax soaks into the different grains and features it enhances their look and brings them to life. The colours are:
- Walnut
- Teak
- Smoke Pine
- Medium Oak
- Rustic Pine
When viewing on screen colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes. Because you want the perfect colour for your home these finishes are available to purchase as small samples.

Strong Fixings & Easy Installation
When you receive your mantel beam, the packaging will also include fixings. We provide you with fixings that have been designed specifically for the installation of our wooden shelves and mantels into solid walls only. We would recommend fixing it to solid wall types only. The keyhole brackets are suitable for all wall types however we would always recommend consulting with a DIY professional or builder before purchasing to discuss fitting to alternative wall types, as this may require specialist fixings. We are not able to guarantee the mantel if you do not use the fixings we supply, if they are installed using alternative fitting methods, or if they are installed into alternative wall types.

As these solid wood shelves are handmade we do require some time for manufacturing. This will normally take 3 to 5 working days. They will then be dispatched and will usually be delivered within 1-2 working days providing that there are no courier delays. It is important to open your delivery as soon as it is received so that this can be checked over, and so that the wood can breathe.
Orders with multiple items will be dispatched according to the longest lead time. To receive your quicker lead time items without having to wait, just place separate orders.
