Solid Oak

To make these solid oak dining tables we select the finest oak timbers. Each dining table is cut to size, hand-sanded to a smooth finish, hand-oiled and finished. This leaves the oak sleek and refined, showcasing the natural oak grain. Simply stunning.

Despite the process to make the timber smooth and flat, being a natural product solid wood can contain a variety of different features and characteristics. Due to the nature of solid oak every piece of our handmade oak furniture will be different. Truly unique. One of a kind. Please note that placing your item above or near to a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may cause the timber to twist or bow.

Clear Protective Oil

All our solid oak furniture is finished with a clear protective oil that is hand applied as part of our our handcrafting process. As the oil soaks into the oak it leaves it with a matte finish and enhances the natural look of the grain and features, bringing it to life. It also provides a protective finish to the natural timber. As with all natural wood furniture we would strongly recommend that you protect our oak furniture from heat and moisture, with the use of coasters, heat protective mats and other precautionary measures.

Assembly

Your solid oak dining table will be delivered to you with detailed assembly instructions and all the fixings you need. But, don't worry. The assembly is very straightforward. You just place the table top bottom side up. Position the legs and then the side rails, securing each as you go, with the fixings provided. Flip the oak table and position it where you like in your home.

Your chairs will require self-assembly, and easy-to-follow instructions are included.

Care & Clean

Your furniture will come with felt protectors, please use these on the bottom of your new furniture to protect your flooring. You will need to make sure that any hard flooring (which includes wood, laminate and vinyl flooring) is completely dry and free from chemical residues before putting your new furniture into place.

However, we cannot be held responsible for any such incidents, or the use of any products we may suggest. Get in touch with our customer services team for advice.

Please note that samples are not available for this table.

To care for your chairs, gently dust with a soft cloth regularly. We advise professional care to maintain the longevity of your chairs.

Note: Position chairs with adequate spacing from your dining table, as wax transfer from certain table finishes can occur with prolonged close contact. Maintain a small gap between the chair and table edge to prevent marking.

Turnaround & Delivery

As these solid wood oak dining tables are handmade we do require some time for manufacturing. This will normally take 4 working weeks. Please note that the lead time provided is an approximate guide, and your furniture may be completed slightly earlier or later than this date. If this would cause any issues, please let us know.

Orders with multiple items will be dispatched according to the longest lead time. To receive your quicker lead time items without having to wait, just place separate orders.

Once the order is complete, you will receive a dispatch email. Delivery will be made by our partner Logistics North East and will arrive on the 2nd working day following dispatch. On the morning of delivery, you’ll also get an email/ SMS with a 2-hour time slot. (Please allow an additional 2-5 working days for deliveries to Highlands and Islands).
